Hermione Granger
Hermione Jane Granger was born 19th September 1980. Her parents were Muggles, and both dentists. Though Rowling considered giving Hermione a younger sister, she ruled against it. , Hermione had bushy brown hair and brown eyes. The right pronounce of Hermione’s name is Her-my-o-nee. The author tells us how to pronounce in the ‘Goblet of Fire’ when Hermione tried to teach Victor Krum.
In the past Hermione’s surname was ‘Puckle’ but it is not used by JK in the books.
When she was five she started her first year in the Muggle primary school. In 1990 she ended this school.
She read voraciously and tended to believe that anything worth knowing about could be learned about in books. When she discovered, for example, that Divination was more of an imprecise art than an exact science, and that all her reading and research couldn’t make a Seer out of her, she took against it, and later quit the class. Hermione had a brilliant mind. She had memorized many, many spells and could reason her way through difficult situations that stump everyone else. By her fifth year, she could cast a Protean Charm – N.E.W.T standard magic. Portable, waterproof fires were a specialty of hers. She exceled at most subjects and often helped Neville Longbottom through difficult Potions classes. Most teachers considered her a star pupil, although Snape called her a show-off. Her best friends were Ron Weasley and Harry Potter; she also got along very well with Ginny Weasley.
Hermione had a developing social conscience and would work tirelessly for those she saw as oppressed or an underdog. She was quick to take Neville under her wing and helped him along, especially in Potions class. She bought Crookshanks from a magical creatures store because no one had wanted him. She spent hours preparing a defense for Buckbeak, a falsely-accused hippogriff, and later began to take an interest in the plight of house-elves.
First year: 1991.

Earned 11 O.W.L.s: She received 10 “Outstandings” (Care of Magical Creatures, Transfiguration, Potions, Charms, Herbology, Astronomy, History of Magic, Arithmancy, Ancient Runes and one unknown class), and an “Exceeds expectations” in Defence Against the Dark Arts.

”Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone”
September 1st, 1991 she met Ron, Harry, and Neville aboard the Hogwarts Express. The same day she had been sorted into Gryffindor House. Hermione was easily the brightest witch in her year at Hogwarts. Elevan days afterwards was first flying lesson for Gryffindors and Slytherins. 
September 19th she ended 11years. In her first year at Hogwarts, Hermione found herself disliked by most of the other kids. She was a bossy know-it-all who told everyone else off for not doing everything according to the rules. She mellowed somewhat over that first year and even more in the years that followed, but she has not lost her disapproval of rule-breaking. October 31st Hermione was rescued from a Mountain Troll by Ron and Harry. It’s very important moment for all, Hermione bless her,is so very annoying in the early past of ‘Philosopher’s Stone’. The three become friends. Next year, 1992 during first week of June Harry, Hermione, and Ron follow Quirrell after the Sorcerer’s Stone, overcome the various protections, and defeat Quirrell/Voldemort’s attempt to steal the Stone. It is like the first year ends.

September 1st, 1992 Hermione and her friends started their second year at Hogwarts. October 31st all friends celebrated 500th Deathday Party for Nearly Headless Nick. December 25th Hermione took Polyjuice Potion and accidentally transforms herself partially into a cat. Beginning of February 1993 Hermione left the hospital, cured of cat whiskers and a tail. May 8th Hermione was petrified by the Basilisk and was cured of Petrification May 30th. This is how the second book ends.
”Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban”
August 31st Hermione met Harry and Ron in Diagon Alley. For a birthday present in 1993 she bought herself a large ginger cat named Crookshanks. They were all staying at the Leaky Cauldron. September 1st Hermione and her friends began their third year at Hogwarts, which was surrounded by Dementors. The same day Hermione was given a Time Turner by McGonagall and used it to add hours to her day; she used the extra time to take additional classes, but she found this too exhausting to keep up. June 6th next year, 1994 at sundown, Buckbeak was scheduled to be executed; Sirius Black was captured that evening and narrowly escaped suffering the Dementor’s Kiss by riding to freeedom on Buckbeak, through the efforts of Hermione and Harry using the Time Turner. Monday, August 22 1994 Hermione attended the Final of the 422nd World Quidditch Cup with the Weasleys’ family and Harry Potter. September 1st Hermione and her friends started their fourth year at Hogwarts. December 25th was the Yule Ball, 8 PM until midnight, Hermione’s date was Viktor Krum. She found herself the object of the affection of Viktor Krum, a famous Quidditch player from Bulgaria, who was a visiting student at Hogwarts from Durmstrang Institute. She returned his affection to some extent, although she seems to be developing an interesting relationship with Ron which might grow into something more. Only time will tell. June 1995 Hermione captured Rita Skeeter in insect form.
Hermione’s name:
J K Rowling modelled the character of Hermione on herself. Hermione has a magical name too. The name Hermione is related to the word “hermetic”, which means the study of the magical arts.
Hermione’s name is best known from Shakespeare’s play The Winter’s Tale. That is a complicated story, but she is a Queen, who is wronged by her husband. Through her strength of character, her patience, and fate, all eventually ends well.
Another form of the name, Hermia, is one of the heroines in Shakespeare’s magical story A Midsummer Night’s Dream.
